Description

This silent and secluded village nestled among oak and chestnut woods, a stone’s throw from Gaiole
in Chianti. The 230-hectare farm merges the charm of thirteenth century vernacular architecture
with an ideal micro climate giving life to the best Chianti grapes, distributed over 90 hectares of vine planted
land, all designated DOCG Chianti Classico. Positioned in the heart of historic Chianti, at an
altitude of 391 metres, on the hill which dominates the vast valley which terminates in Vagliagli on the
San Sano farm. The vineyards are amalgamated onto a high plain, which ranges from 430 to 380 metres
in height. The vines are closely planted at 5,000 vines per hectare and yields average 2kg per vine for
the Vigneto della Rana and 1.5kg per vine for the Classico. All wines are made on the property.
